I performed coupled seepage/slope stability analysis (SLIDE) to evaluate the impacts of rapid water drawdown in impoundment quarries for a confidential client in Georgia.
I provided technical advisory services and independent evaluation of slope stability (SLIDE) and bearing capacity of riverbed sediments along this 7-mile superfund subaqueous capping project. The geotechnical analyses provided a review of the expected wait times and strength gain between lift placements for the staged capping.

With receiving about 8,000 tons of solid waste per day, Atlantic Waste Disposal Landfill is among the largest landfills in the US. I performed extensive slope stability analyses in support of the overlay design to extend the height of current cells from approximately 160 feet to approximately 300 feet. I also led the instrumentation efforts including installation, data collection, and interoperation of vibrating-wire pore pressure and temperature transducers, employed to monitor the changes in pressure/temperature within this elevated-temperature landfill.

I was in charge of maintaining the instrumentation and regular data interpretation at this New Hampshire landfill. The instrumentation included inclinometers, shape accelerometer arrays, and piezometers. I also contributed to an annual inspection program performed to ensure an acceptable performance of the surrounding MSE berm.
